Alpine Champion
The Alpenchampion is a title issued jointly by the VDH, ÖKV and SKG, covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A dog earns it by collecting three qualifications (Anwartschaften) at selected International Dog Shows across these three countries.
What's required?
- ✓ 3× ALPENSIEGER, under at least 3 different judges, in at least 3 different countries
Earning the title
Three qualifications are needed for the Alpenchampion. Each one is awarded only at International Dog Shows that have been selected for this purpose by the VDH, ÖKV or SKG in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The three qualifications cannot come from a single country. One must be gained in Germany, one in Austria and one in Switzerland, so that all three member countries are represented.
The qualifications must also be awarded by three different judges. A repeat placement under the same judge does not add a second count toward the title.
Frequently asked questions
