French Conformation Champion (CHCS)

FR_CHCS Société Centrale Canine (FR) France Main title

The Champion de France de Conformité au Standard (CHCS) is awarded by the Société Centrale Canine (SCC) to dogs that repeatedly confirm their quality in the show ring. Earning it opens access to the Champion class.

The title rests on two things: a set of CACS results gathered at French national shows, and a strong placing at the Nationale d'Élevage. Alongside these ring results, the SCC applies homologation requirements before the title is confirmed.

The six results must be awarded by at least three different judges, and the whole series has to be completed within a period of 24 months from the first to the last CACS.

Result at the Nationale d'Élevage

In addition to the CACS series, the dog must earn an Excellent at the Nationale d'Élevage with a placement in the top four.

Homologation and breed club requirements

Before the SCC confirms the title, the dog must be DNA-identified in the SCC database. For dogs resident in France, confirmation is also required.

Breed clubs may set further conditions depending on the breed and the year, which can include health testing, behavioural tests, or working requirements for working breeds.
