Earning the title

The title requires three CACS-V awards, each won in the veteran class at a French national CACS show.

The three awards must be given by three different judges. Winning repeatedly under the same judge does not add to the count, so the results need to come from at least three separate judging opinions.

Age at the show

A dog must be at least 96 months old, that is eight years, on the day of the show for a CACS-V to count toward this title.

DNA and breed-club conditions

Before the SCC confirms the title, the dog must be DNA-identified in the SCC database.

Dogs owned by French residents also need confirmation. Beyond these general requirements, breed clubs may set additional conditions covering health, behaviour or, for working breeds, working qualifications. What applies depends on the breed and the year, so check the requirements set by the relevant breed club.
