Winning the title at the Clubschau
The title is decided at the DRC Clubschau, the club's annual show. To take it, a dog must place first in the Veteran class and be awarded the DRC-Vet.CAC at that show.
Because it is tied to a single event each year, the Clubveteranensieger is awarded once per year to one dog.
Veteran class age
The Veteran class is open to dogs from eight years of age, so a dog must have reached that age to compete for the title.
Eligible breeds
The title is open to the retriever breeds under the Deutscher Retriever Club, the authority that awards it.
