Danish Champion (with hunting test)

DKCH_J Dansk Kennel Klub (DK) Denmark Junior

DKCH(+J) is the Danish Champion title awarded by the DKK when a dog holds the DKCH championship and has also proven itself in the field. It marks a dog that has met the show requirements and added a qualifying result at a hunting trial.

What's required?

  • ✓ Hold all underlying titles: Danish Beauty Champion
  • ✓ DKCH(+J): Deens Kampioenschap met aanvullende jachtproef-prijs. Bovenop DKCH is minimaal één 1e prijs op een DKK-erkende jachtproef vereist. Zie DKK Show Regulations 2026. (manual check required)

Notes

  • • Addition to the DKCH title for dogs that have also passed a working trial.
  • • Toevoeging aan de DKCH-titel voor honden die ook een jachtproef hebben behaald.

Earning the title

Two things must be in place. The dog needs the full DKCH championship, and it needs at least one first prize at a hunting trial recognised by the DKK.

The hunting result sits on top of the show championship. Without the underlying DKCH, the (+J) addition cannot be granted.

Confirmation of the title

The DKK checks the qualifying results before the title is confirmed. The show championship and the hunting trial prize are verified together, so the addition is recorded once both are established.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of hunting result counts toward DKCH(+J)?

At least one first prize at a hunting trial recognised by the DKK. This result is required in addition to the DKCH championship.

Can a dog receive DKCH(+J) without holding DKCH first?

No. The (+J) addition builds on the DKCH title, so the full championship must already be in place before the hunting trial result can complete it.
