Danish Lure Coursing Champion
The Danish Lure Coursing Champion (DKLLCH) is a DKK title reserved for sighthounds, the breeds of FCI group 10. It rewards dogs that perform in lure coursing, where the dog chases an artificial hare across a set course.
Earning the title combines results in the field with a qualification in the show ring, so a dog needs to prove itself on both counts.
What's required?
- ✓ Deens Lure Coursing Kampioenschap (DKLLCH). Vereisten: punten/plaatsen op internationale lure coursing competities + show-kwalificatie. Zie DKK + FCI sighthound-regelement. (manual check required)
Notes
- • Sighthounds only (group 10). Lure coursing with artificial hare.
- • Alleen voor windhonden (groep 10). Sprake van lure coursing met kunstmatige haas.
Earning the title
A DKLLCH is built on two things: results at international lure coursing competitions and a show qualification. Points and placements from the coursing field count toward the title, and the show result confirms the dog also meets the conformation standard.
DKK checks each candidate against these conditions before awarding the title. Because the assessment is done manually, the club confirms that both the coursing results and the show qualification are in order rather than the title being granted automatically.
Which dogs qualify
The title is open only to sighthounds in FCI group 10. Breeds outside that group are not eligible for the DKLLCH.
Where the rules come from
The DKLLCH is governed by DKK, applying the DKK show regulations together with the FCI sighthound rules. The detailed thresholds for coursing points and placements and for the show qualification are set out in those regulations.
Frequently asked questions
Is the DKLLCH only for sighthounds?
Yes. Only breeds in FCI group 10 can earn the Danish Lure Coursing Champion title.
Do I need a show result as well as coursing results?
Yes. The title requires both points or placements at international lure coursing competitions and a show qualification. DKK verifies that both are met.
