Danish Working Test Champion
The Danish Working Test Champion (DKWTCH) is a title awarded by the Danish Kennel Club (DKK) to retrievers based on their results in Working Test competitions. These tests use cold game and dummies instead of live hunting, so the title recognises retrieving ability under controlled, standardised conditions.

What the DKWTCH title recognises
DKWTCH is a performance title tied to Working Test competitions for retrievers. Working Tests assess the skills a retriever needs in the field, but the work is done with dummies and cold game rather than shot game during an actual hunt.
The title is available to retriever breeds within FCI Group 8. Spaniels and other Group 8 breeds fall outside this particular title.
Verification by the DKK
Eligibility for DKWTCH is confirmed by the DKK through manual verification of a dog's Working Test results. The title is not applied automatically, so the issuing organisation checks that the qualifying competition record meets its requirements before the title is awarded.
Frequently asked questions

Does the dog need to work with live game?
