German Club Champion (DRC)

DE_CH_DRC Deutscher Retriever Club (DE) Germany Main title

The Deutscher Champion Club (DRC) is awarded by the Deutscher Retriever Club (DRC) to dogs that have collected five DRC-Anwartschaften (DRC_CAC) in Germany. These certificates are only issued at DRC events, either at DRC breed shows or at DRC special shows attached to VDH shows.

What's required?

  • ✓ 5× DRC CAC in Germany in de open klasse/tussenklasse/kampioensklasse/gebruikshondenklasse, under at least 4 different judges

Notes

Earning the title

A dog needs five DRC-Anwartschaften (DRC_CAC) to qualify for the title. The certificates count only when awarded at DRC events in Germany.

The five certificates must come from at least four different judges, so a single judge cannot supply the full set on their own.

Age and eligible classes

A dog must be at least 15 months old for a DRC_CAC to count. The certificate can be won in the Open, Intermediate, Champion or Working class.

When a Reserve-CAC counts

If the DRC_CAC winner already holds the title, the Reserve-CAC (RES_DRC_CAC) is upgraded and counts in its place. This way a strong result is not lost when the winning dog no longer needs the certificate.

Certificate annotation and start date

The certificate may optionally carry the note "mit Arbeitsprüfung". This is an informational addition on the document.

These rules apply to all titles applied for from 1 February 2026.
