German Junior Champion (VDH)
The Deutscher Jugend-Champion (VDH) is awarded by the VDH to dogs that collect three VDH-Jugend-Anwartschaften in the Junior class. These are shown on judging reports as JCAC or Jugend-CAC(VDH); both count towards the same total.
What's required?
- ✓ 3× VDH-Jugend-Anwartschaft / JCAC in Germany in de jeugdklasse op CAC-show/CACIB-show/nationale show/rasspeciaal (VDH/DRC), waarvan minimaal 2 op CACIB-show/nationale show, under at least 2 different judges

- • 3 Reserve-Anwartschaften op verschillende shows per bucket (IDS/NAT óf SRA, niet gemengd) tellen samen als 1× VDH-Jugend-Anwartschaft — automatisch toegepast.
Earning the three Youth CACs
You need three VDH-Jugend-Anwartschaften, all won in the Junior class at shows held in Germany.
The wins have to be spread across the field. At least two must be awarded by different judges, so a single judge cannot carry a dog to the title on their own.
Eligible shows are VDH or DRC events, covering national shows, CACIB shows, CAC shows and specialty shows. Of the three required wins, at least two must come from CACIB shows or national shows.
Age and class
A dog must be at least nine months old and entered in the Junior class for a win to count towards this title.
When reserve results count
A VDH-Jugend-Reserve-Anwartschaft (Res-JCAC) can be upgraded to a full Youth CAC, but only if the dog that won the CAC already holds the title.
Under VDH-DfB §2, three reserve wins within the same show group upgrade to one Anwartschaft from that group. The groups are kept separate: CACIB and national shows form one group, specialty shows another. Reserves from different groups cannot be combined.
Frequently asked questions
Is a JCAC the same as a Jugend-CAC(VDH)?
Yes. VDH-Jugend-Anwartschaften appear on judging reports as either JCAC or Jugend-CAC(VDH), and both count towards the title.
Can three reserve wins from mixed show types be upgraded together?
No. Reserves only upgrade within a single group. CACIB and national shows count as one group and specialty shows as another, and the two are never combined.
