International Junior Champion (CIB-J)

CIB_J Raad van Beheer (NL) Internationaal Junior

The International Junior Champion title (CIB-J) is awarded to a dog that has collected three CACIB-J awards in the Junior class. The CACIB-J is the junior-level entitlement toward the international junior championship, and the three results must be spread across different judges and different countries. The title is open only to breeds that are eligible for the CACIB.

What's required?

  • ✓ 3× CACIB-J in de jeugdklasse, under at least 3 different judges, in at least 3 different countries

What the title requires

A dog qualifies for the International Junior Champion title after gaining three CACIB-J awards. Each of these must be won in the Junior class.

The three results cannot all come from the same setting. They must be awarded by at least three different judges and in at least three different countries, so the qualification reflects wins across varied competition.

Only breeds that are eligible for the CACIB can compete for this title.

Age at the show

Because the title is earned in the Junior class, the dog's age at each qualifying show matters. The dog must be at least 9 months old and younger than 18 months on the day of the show.

Earlier transitional route

Until 31 December 2022, a dog could also qualify through placements rather than CACIB-J awards. Under that route the dog needed three first places with the qualification Uitmuntend in the Junior class. This alternative applied only up to that date.
