Dutch Champion
The Nederlands Kampioen (NL CH) title is awarded by the Raad van Beheer to a dog that has collected four points and has been judged by at least two different judges. The final point counting towards the title must be earned when the dog is at least 27 months old. The Raad van Beheer awards the title automatically, including for foreign dogs, as soon as the conditions are met.

Notes
- • RvB awards the title automatically (including foreign dogs) once requirements are met.
- • RvB kent titel automatisch toe (ook buitenlandse honden) zodra aan voorwaarden voldaan is.
How the four points are earned
Points come from the awards a dog wins, and the value depends on the award and where it was given.
A CAC at a Dutch CAC show or a CACIB show is worth one point. A Reserve-CAC at a championship club match also counts for one point.
A CAC (Winner) is worth two points, as is a CAC won at a championship club match.
A Reserve-CAC at a Dutch CAC show or CACIB show counts for a quarter point, and no more than one full point in total can come from these Reserve-CACs.
Across the results that make up the four points, at least two different judges must have been involved.
The age requirement
The point that completes the total of four must be earned at a show where the dog is at least 27 months old.
If a dog already reaches four points before that age, the title is not yet secured. One further qualifying award is then needed at a show where the dog is at least 27 months old. That additional award can be a CAC, a Reserve-CAC, a Reserve-CAC at a club match, a CAC (Winner) or a CAC at a club match.
Double points and Reserve-CAC upgrades
Some awards are worth two points. If a dog earns two of these double-value CACs, only one of them counts double; the other is reduced to a single point.
A Reserve-CAC can be upgraded to a CAC when the dog that won the CAC already holds the Nederlands Kampioen title. This upgrade is applied by the Raad van Beheer during processing rather than on the day of the show.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to apply for the title?
No. The Raad van Beheer grants the Nederlands Kampioen title automatically once all conditions are met, and this also applies to foreign dogs.
Why did a Reserve-CAC become a CAC on my record?
A Reserve-CAC is upgraded to a CAC when the CAC winner in that class already holds the Nederlands Kampioen title. The Raad van Beheer applies this change when it processes the results, not at the show itself.
