Nordic Junior Champion

NORDICJCH Nordisk Kennel Union (Nordic) Nordic Junior

The Nordic Junior Champion title (NORDICJCH) is awarded by the Nordic Kennel Union to dogs that collect three Nordic Junior Certificates in the junior class at Nordic shows. The certificates must come from a spread of shows: at least three different judges and at least two different countries.

What's required?

(manual check required)

Notes

  • • If dog is registered in IS: IJslandse quarantaineregels: twee Nordic Junior Certificaten door twee verschillende keurmeesters volstaan.

Earning the title

A dog needs three Nordic Junior Certificates, each won in the junior class at a Nordic show.

The three certificates cannot all come from the same ring or the same event. They must be awarded by at least three different judges and gained in at least two different countries.

The CK requirement

Each Nordic Junior Certificate depends on the dog receiving CK (the quality mark) in the junior class. Without CK, the certificate cannot be awarded.

CK is not recorded as a separate award, so the presence of CK in the junior class is confirmed manually when the title is assessed.

Age at the show

The dog must be at least 9 months old on the day of the show and under 18 months. Certificates won outside that window do not count toward the title.

Dogs registered in Iceland

Because of Icelandic quarantine rules, dogs registered in Iceland qualify with two Nordic Junior Certificates awarded by two different judges, and these may be won within a single country.

This exception is checked manually against the dog's country of registration.

Frequently asked questions

Do all three certificates have to come from different judges?

Yes. The three Nordic Junior Certificates must be awarded by at least three different judges, and across at least two different countries.

Why is CK needed if it is not shown as a separate award?

CK is the quality mark that a Nordic Junior Certificate is built on. It is a condition for the certificate rather than a standalone entry in the results, so the assessment confirms that the dog held CK in the junior class.
